Endless Possiblities

Feve Amora Omipon

See it On Campus: Level 1

My painting is located on the first floor in the sculpture studio area, which is D1359. You can enter the room by walking past the Mini Loafe, past the water fountain, and into the sculpture area. Keep going straight, then turn right when you see a square cubical on the right side of the sculpture studio. My painting is there with other artist's paintings.

Exploration of color, emotions, and abstract forms

This oil painting explores “endless possibilities” through abstract curves, lines, and vibrant forms, depicting my journey of navigating life’s uncertainties. The vivid colours express hope and optimism, suggesting that life, despite its challenges, will be worth it. The concept of Snakes and Ladders inspired me to pursue this painting direction. Life has its ups and downs, but we will get through it to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. The journey through art school might have been stressful, emotional, confusing, and unsure, but I enjoyed my time and will continue with my art practice. Using abstraction to help me display feelings of nostalgia, happiness, wandering, and as a meditative practice. I listen to music while creating artworks, which allows me to paint using the flow and feeling.

ART AND TEXT SERIES

For this work, I am inspired by Ken Lum’s sign series. I wanted to depict positive and hopeful thoughts. In this series, I have taken photographs of my personal experiences and written my thoughts from my journal.
