Snail Mail was a concept I came up with after being inspired by my fellow student filmmakers at Emily Carr University. Initially, I just wanted to create something about nature, focusing on texturing and visualizing something more realistic. However, that quickly evolved into a cute story about snails and love, where the focus became less about creating something realistic and more about creating a heart melting visual. Because nothing says ‘romance’ quite like finding the one who makes your shell feel like home.

Jessica Wallis is a Canadian artist and filmmaker. While attending Emily Carr University, she decided to try her hand in the 3D space where she fell in love with the process of Look Development and Surfacing. Having come from a background of drawing and painting, her work includes hand painted textures and static illustrations to accompany her 3D creations.
