Artist Statement
This piece tells the story of a brave girl and her trusty mechanical pet as they push through a dangerous, mysterious world together. From dark caves to unstable bridges and finally to a haunted castle, each setting reflects the emotional challenges we face like fear, uncertainty, and the unknown. At the heart of the castle, a giant spider monster hides, representing that ultimate fear we all have to face eventually. The girl’s futuristic sword and her pet’s quick thinking show how strength comes from both inner courage and the people (or machines) we rely on. Their bond is what gets them through. This visual journey is really about growing through the tough stuff, how we change, face our fears, and keep going even when things get scary. It’s about teamwork, bravery, and finding light in dark places.
