Endless, Nameless, 2025, acrylic, watercolour, and marker on canvas, 20″ diameter
With this painting, I wanted to reflect on all of the work I have done during my time here. When creating something that incapsulates me as an artist, I looked back at the recurring shapes, patterns, and lines in my work, as well as the variety of mediums I use. The colour scheme consists of over fifteen different shades of green (my favourite colour) and the circular canvas represents new beginnings and endings. Yes, the title is a Nirvana reference.

Marvi Khan is a Pakistani-Canadian artist. In her practice, she explores elements of abstraction through painting, drawing, and mixed media collage. Marvi’s art reflects her interest in humanity’s intangible thoughts and feelings. Marvi’s work has been featured in group shows such as the Langley Arts Council’s My Heritage and annual Creating for Change exhibitions, as well as the Seymour Art Gallery’s art party fundraiser. Additionally, she has sold her work in North Van Arts’ annual North Shore Art Crawl. She is also bringing her work to Ontario by participating in this year’s Kala: Colours of South Asia exhibit. In her free time, Marvi gives back to her community by volunteering at local art galleries, such as CICA Vancouver. She is set to begin her Master of Fine Arts at Glasgow School of Art in Scotland later this year.
