Alysha Johnny Hawkins

My name is Alysha Johnny Hawkins, my indigenous name is Ahtulala given to me by my great grandmother. I am from the wolf clan. My mother is Kaska Dena and my father is Tahltan, we are from Northern BC/Yukon. I am a multidisciplinary artist and my artistic practice with this project is traditional oral knowledge which has been passed down from generation to generation. Storytelling is an important aspect of my work. The cyanotype gives off a blue hue which is calming and sets a comforting atmosphere.

Souga Sinla,
