PROBEM SPACE

Nowadays, depression is one of the most serious chronic diseases in the 21st century. Although people are gradually paying more attention to emotional problems and starting to find ways to relieve them, how can we truly address these issues at their source? In fact, all emotions are generated by our brains. If we change our way of thinking, will things really be different?

THESIS STATEMENT

I will not tell a precise answer through my design works. There will never be a standard answer to such a question. I hope that through my works, everyone can think about how to relieve their anxiety and become calm to accept everything, how to live better in the present. In the process of exploration, I believe that everyone will live more open-mindedly.

This is a guide on how to choose lacquer pigments. It introduces the connection between the four different colors that our brains will present in various states and the selection of lacquer pigments.

COLOR & EMOTION | LACQUERING GUIDE

INTRO

When people experience different emotional
fluctuations, their brains will be in states of different frequencies. When people experience different emotional fluctuations, their brains will be in states of different frequencies.

On the EEG machine, most emotions show through four fluid colors that blend without clear lines. This inspired me to use this color expression to create textures for my color palette. The idea is that every emotion is valuable and should be fully accepted. In this guide, I’ve shown the textures of different main color series I made, for others to reference.

I have integrated quotes into the rings. The concept is that people who wear these rings can be reminded of themselves at any time through the quotes on the rings, and these quotes can bring them more positive energy!

Most people always know the truths, but they easily forget them when feeling down. One day, looking at my ring’s patterns, I realized that if i writing quotes on rings that could remind me at anytime anywhere. It might even help me out of bad moods.

I printed each quote on watercolor paper so that I could connect the texture with the quotes.

INTRO

I found that the process of creating textures is also a very healing one. In order to enhance the sense of interaction between people and my works, I decided to incorporate this workshop into my pinup. However, it’s a pity that due to its uncontrollable, it’s difficult to manage in the grade show.

I let people to select the quotes that they feel the most connect to, the one that touch the most deeply. And then people can choose the desired color according to the lacquering guide，to create the feeling that they have at this moment.
