The House Of Emotions
Doreen Feng

情緒基地
As an illustrator artist, my practice emerges from a curiosity about the inner landscapes we carry. I am drawn to the ways in which feelings and emotions are created and how we work with them in our everyday lives. In a world that often demands rapid responses and emotional resilience, I always have a question: Why do we feel the way we do? Through visual explorations and reflective inquiry, I am seeking to explore the processes of emotion in my style, provide insights into why we experience them, as well as invite an interesting understanding of the forces that move us.

Project Overview
The project is aimed at presenting in a picture book format for the age group in between 6-8 years old, with the content of an imaginary space to showcase the connection of emotions with human beings, and guiding through the way emotions and feelings integrate into our body and introducing their effects and the interactions they generate.

Brainstorm Progress

The project is still ongoing, and it is possible to add more pages in the future.
My 4 years of learning at Emily Carr have ended here, yet my self-exploration of art, personal feelings and connection as an individual has never stopped going. Each project, critique, and studio session shaped not only my skills but also the way I see the world and my style of art within it. Though this chapter closes, I know that the journey of growth, curiosity, and creativity is only just the beginning. I am excited to carry forward the lessons, friendships, and memories from these years into everything that comes next.
Thank you to all the people I have met at Emily Carr for the past 4 years.
