Artists Statement

I decided to make a story that was personal to me and my family. This film focuses on a young girl, like me, who grew up around her father’s dance studio (Bhangra Matics Academy). A magical world that helped shape her into who she is today, through performances, friends and the art of the cultural dance. Since it closed in 2020, I wanted to make a 3D animated film reminiscing on it. Including all the memories we made because of it, as it serves as a colourful, short, sweet way to thank my family.
