Behind the Scenes – Practitioner Work –

Alycia Yuk Yen Chan was a Emily Carr University of Art + Design student with a Bachelor of Media Arts degree in 2D + Experimental animation. Her interest in the arts began with murals and fashion design. She received the Visual Arts Award from Eric Hamber Secondary School in 2021. Alycia collaborated on the City Poems Project (2022), which interpreted Vancouver poet laureate Fiona Tinwei Lam’s poetry into a short, animated film. Through her animation studies, Alycia has contributed to all aspects of animation production, including art direction, layout, sound design, animation, colour and detailed linework.
